A Quote:

"There sit the knights that were so great of hand,
The ladies that were queens of fair green land,
Grown grey and black now, brought unto the dust,
Soiled, without raiment, clad about with sand."

Review: Player's Handbook

Player's Handbook Player's Handbook by James Wyatt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Enter the third major overhaul of D&D game system, and to honest, it is a blast. Literally, they took the best from all previous editions, streamlined it through thousand of hous of playtest around the world, and bring forth the most accesible version of the PHB ever done. Everything was curated down to the last word. All mechanics are functional, particularly the advantage/disadvantage rolls. A lot of skills and options were carefully simplified to get the best versions. There are plenty of class options and backgrounds. You can create a character in less than 15 minutes, full fledged and coherent.

At first I was not convinced, but a year of playing changed my mind. It is not just a better edition; it is perhaps the best.
